Chapter 5-14: Protecting Tenants at Foreclosures

"The Protecting Tenants in Foreclosure Rental Ordinance," recently enacted on September 25, 2013, states that it is the purpose and the policy of the city of Chicago to preserve, protect, maintain and improve rental property and prevent occupied buildings from becoming vacant after foreclosures. As Chicago landlord-tenant lawyers, it is our job and duty to ensure this new foreclosure law is upheld.
